Ricky Burns
1.Anadarko – Member being investigated for allegedly not properly checking sheets on weekly narcotics check off.
2.Altus – MOU signed on promotional issue, this resolved a grievance. Another grievance on Chief changing call back procedures.
3.Chickasha – Two grievances still pending, one on members being assigned non fire/ems related work, another on members cost not being covered to take national registry paramedic exam. Contract negotiations on going, two issues still unresolved….union asking for extra holiday, City/Chief wants mandatory training on days off.
4. Duncan – Currently in negotiations
5. Fredrick – Nothing to report on
6.Lawton – Fire Chief reassigned two members to different stations, members were brothers and had been working together at the same station on the same shift. Fire Chief cited nepotism clause in city charter, Local has filed a grievance. Pending grievance on member being given a point on record for alleged violation of policies for an on scene accident, the point would prevent member from being able to promote for one year. Grievance on City violating an MOU regarding not filling a position, the City filled that position and then left another open in its place. Fire Chief being investigated for alleged hostile work environment.
- Mustang – Currently in negotiations
- Newcastle – Local has turned in some potential FLSA issues to IAFF and the IAFF Legal department is looking at them and should be issuing an opinion soon.
- Tuttle – Nothing new to report
Crossover work in other district: Worked on Seminole interest arbitration case, we have a pending agreement made the night before.
