District 5 Report

Ricky Burns
1.Anadarko – Nothing new to report on.
2.Altus – Grievance on Chief changing call back procedures, working on pulling a list.
3.Chickasha – Two grievances still pending, one on members being assigned non fire/ems related work, another on members cost not being covered to take national registry paramedic exam. Contract negotiations on going, had a tentative deal and union voted on TA then Cities draft of CBA had added language that had not previously been discussed. We are meeting this week and hopefully can get it squared away.
4. Duncan – Currently in negotiations
5. Fredrick – Nothing to report on
6.Lawton – Fire Chief put out new policies dealing with storage of narcotics. Local filed a grievance and a few days later the Chief rescinded the policies which is what the Local had asked for as a resolve to the grievances. Fire Chief being investigated for alleged hostile work environment.

- Tuttle – Nothing new to report
Crossover work in other district: Seminole CBA and MOU should be approved and signed by both parties within the next few days.
