The three disaffiliation votes have taken place….The Owasso membership voted to disaffiliate, The Norman membership voted to disaffiliate, and Tulsa membership voted to remain affiliated with the PFFO. Chalk, Lance, Bruce and myself made station visits in Norman the week prior to their vote. We were able to hit most of the stations on all three shifts. Thank you to Chalk, Lance, and Bruce for taking the time to come to Norman. Secretary/Treasurer Jim Long spent many days making station visits and attending groupings in Tulsa to educate their members about the PFFO. Vice President May spent much time working with the Tulsa Local leadership on the disaffiliation issue also. I believe the work of these two individuals is what ultimately led to the membership voting to remain affiliated.
I met with members of the Edmond e-board along with IAFF VP McGhee over potential discipline issues. The City did a four and a half month long investigation into internal issues. The results of that investigation led to twelve members receiving letters informing them of pre-d hearings that will take place April 10-14; at this point no discipline has been imposed. We are working on a plan to ensure all the members have proper representation, ultimately their board will decide what direction to move forward. I met with members of the Edmond Local who have charges pending and have Pre-d hearings this week. Rick Beams was also there, he was contacted by Local President to help represent their members and was assigned by Vice President McGhee.
I met with the trustees on March 13th to discuss what they need from us for them to be able to do their job effectively and to ensure accountability and transparency.

Met with the budget committee on March 27th to show them how the budget works and how to review to ensure we are on track as well as how to prepare for next year’s budget.
